It was the 9th annual Tanium conference we’ve attended showcasing the future of endpoint management and security. The conference revealed several transformative innovations that will reshape how organisations approach IT security and management.
It was great to meet customers, friends and the Tanium team to learn about the exciting developments they are planning. Tanium is just getting better and better.
Jump Gate: Just-in-Time Privileged Access Management
Perhaps the most significant announcement was the general availability of Jump Gate for cloud customers. This security solution implements policy-driven access to critical systems by enforcing just-in-time and just-enough access controls. Jump Gate represents a fundamental shift in privileged access management from Tanium.
Expanded Endpoint Coverage
Tanium is breaking new ground with expanded endpoint coverage across multiple platforms:
- Apple Ecosystem Integration: New MDM capabilities bringing macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices into the Tanium console.
- Operational Technology (OT) Support: Real-time data collection and management for industrial endpoints, bridging the gap between IT and OT security.
- Intune Integration: Enhanced capabilities for Microsoft Intune-managed devices, creating a more unified management approach.
AI-Powered Future
The roadmap revealed at Converge 2025 demonstrates Tanium’s commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence throughout their platform. These upcoming features will enhance context-awareness, suggest intelligent actions, and automate execution processes—creating a more autonomous and responsive security posture.
